Oliver M. Merritt
Retired environmental science teacher from Bamboo Academy
- 🇦🇺 Perth, Western Australia, Australia
- Bamboo Academy
- 1991 to 2014
- English
I taught environmental science at Bamboo Academy in Perth from 1991 to 2014. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 780 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Oliver
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me environmental science in 2024 at Bamboo Academy. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
