I've been a nurse for 33 years, most of them in community health at Cedar Grove Maternity Hospital in Kasarani. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
