I taught religious studies at Lagos Public School in Lagos from 1995 to 2012. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 660 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
