Ochieng Mutua Onyango
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- Old Thika Workshop
- Since 2007
- English
I've worked in blacksmithing since 2007. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 570 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I watch every football match going.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Ochieng
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Ochieng: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
