I've coached rowing at London Orchid Swimming Club since 2004. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Océane
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Océane: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
