Obinna Victor Yakubu
Master of carpentry, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Ogbomosho, Oyo, Nigeria
- Little Maple Ridge Trades Guild
- 2012 to 2021
- English, Hausa
I've worked in carpentry from 2012 to 2021. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 210 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.

What gifts mean to Obinna: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 2025 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Montpellier.
