Nusrat Jahan
Songwriting and traditional drumming teacher
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Dhaka Pioneer Quartet
- Since 1991
- English, Bengali
I play songwriting and traditional drumming. I started in 1991 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I make terrible puns.
More about Nusrat
I write my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Nusrat: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
