I coached softball at Mandeville Heritage Athletic Club from 1990 to 2006. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I make terrible puns.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Novelette
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
