Noriko Yoko Wada

30 years teaching English literature in Tokyo

  • 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
  • Pioneer Public School
  • 1993 to 2013
  • Japanese
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Noriko

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Noriko: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
