Nora Gill
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇧 Nottingham, England, United Kingdom
- Since 1981
- English
I've worked in pottery since 1981. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 2,250 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Nora
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Nora: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
