Nonso Godwin Coker
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria
- Old Northside Workshop
- Since 2011
- English
I've worked in thatching since 2011. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 410 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 10 years later for another job.
More about Nonso
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Nonso: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
