I've coached cycling at Richards Bay Cedar Grove Community Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
