I've coached chess at Parkside Community Club since 2007. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
