I've coached chess at Pretoria Lincoln Boxing Gym since 1984. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Nokuthula: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
