For 33 years I have been the French teacher at Shinjuku Primary School. I teach Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
