I taught marine biology at Harbor Polytechnic from 1985 to 2003, and supervised 35 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I walk the dog by the river.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
