I taught environmental science at Sunrise Girls' School in Kaduna from 2000 to 2010. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I learned every name in the first week.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Nneka
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Nneka: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
