I spent 22 years as a lecturer in modern history at Dar es Salaam State University in Dar es Salaam. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bus driver and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
