Njeri Mary Wafula
Youth football coach and mentor
- 🇺🇬 Mbale, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Mbale Youth Club
- 2018 to 2025
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I coached football at Mbale Youth Club from 2018 to 2025. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
