Njeri Amani Kimaro
Coached athletics for 22 years in Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Baobab Sports Club
- 1989 to 2011
- English
I coached athletics at Baobab Sports Club from 1989 to 2011. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Njeri
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Njeri: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
