I've worked in bicycle repair since 1989. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,850 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Nicholas
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Nicholas: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
