Ngozi Folake Fashola
Youth football coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Asaba, Delta, Nigeria
- Asaba Community Club
- 1983 to 2010
- English, Igbo
I coached football at Asaba Community Club from 1983 to 2010. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Ngozi
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Ngozi: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
