I've worked in shoemaking from 2000 to 2011. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 440 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
