Neha R. Deshpande
Master of weaving, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Hubballi, Karnataka, India
- Little Bamboo Trades Guild
- Since 2009
- English, Gujarati
I've worked in weaving since 2009. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 970 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Neha
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Neha: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
