Neema Joyce Mwakyusa
Traditional drumming player and teacher in Naivasha
- 🇰🇪 Naivasha, Nakuru, Kenya
- Naivasha Unity Orchestra
- Since 2005
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I play traditional drumming and songwriting. I started in 2005 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 12 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
