Nattapong Wichai Saelim
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇭 Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Chiang Mai Trades Guild
- Since 1978
- English
I've worked in upholstery since 1978. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 2,060 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
I'm still learning every day.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Nattapong: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 1994 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Chattogram.
