Natalie L. Nguyen
Master of upholstery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- San Diego Workshop
- 1997 to 2023
- English
I've worked in upholstery from 1997 to 2023. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,350 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Natalie: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
