I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Nasrin: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
