Namukasa Winnie Barasa
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇰🇪 Embakasi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Embakasi Baobab Youth Club
- Since 2000
- English, Swahili
For 26 years I've run the chess program at Embakasi Baobab Youth Club in Embakasi. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.
