Namukasa Lucy Kiprop

Youth badminton coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Swimming Club
  • Since 1981
  • English
I've coached badminton at Dar es Salaam Swimming Club since 1981. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.

More about Namukasa

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Namukasa: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
