Naliaka Tabitha Hamisi
Oil painting and woodcarving artist
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Jinja Gallery
- Since 1997
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes woodcarving. My first show was in 1997 at Jinja Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I never rush a conversation. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

What gifts mean to Naliaka: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
