Naliaka Muthoni Mutebi
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇰🇪 Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, Kenya
- Eldoret Trades Guild
- 2009 to 2020
- English, French
I've worked in thatching from 2009 to 2020. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 610 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
More about Naliaka
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Naliaka: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
