Naliaka Muthoni Githinji

Local pottery and tiling

🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
The Baobab Trades Guild
1985 to 2011
English, Swahili

I've worked in pottery from 1985 to 2011. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,350 apprentices. I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once. Thank you for stopping by.

More about Naliaka

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.

What gifts mean to Naliaka: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
