Nakato Ruth Bakari
Volunteer mentor with Mbarara Learning Hub
- 🇺🇬 Mbarara, Western Region, Uganda
- Mbarara Learning Hub
- 2002 to 2016
- English, French
For 14 years I've mentored people in small business and first-generation students. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If I mentored you, I hope you're still pushing yourself.

What gifts mean to Nakato: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
