I've worked in bicycle repair from 1982 to 2008. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,350 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Nakato: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
