Nakato Anyango Nakamya
Piano player and teacher in Entebbe
- 🇺🇬 Entebbe, Central Region, Uganda
- Entebbe Jacaranda Quartet
- 1984 to 2012
- English, Swahili
I play piano and songwriting. I started in 1984 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Nakato
I wrote my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Nakato: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
