Nahom Mekonnen Girma
Tiling for 25 years in Gondar
- 🇪🇹 Gondar, Amhara, Ethiopia
- The Trinity Workshop
- Since 2001
- English, Amharic
I've worked in tiling since 2001. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,430 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Nahom
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Nahom: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
