Nafula Auma Karanja
Taught geography at Nairobi Academy
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Academy
- 1992 to 2015
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Nafula
If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Nafula: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
