I've been a nurse for 13 years, most of them in dialysis at Johannesburg University Hospital in Johannesburg. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
