Nadia K. Maharaj

Economics and French teacher, Paarl

🇿🇦 Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa
Paarl Public School
2009 to 2020
English

For eleven years I was the economics teacher at Paarl Public School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Nadia

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Nadia: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
