I've been a nurse for 21 years, most of them in palliative care at Mumbai Children's Hospital in Mumbai. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I try to remember everyone's name. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
