I coached baseball at Kakamega Stonebridge Community Club from 1987 to 2022. Most of my players were between 10 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Mwende
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Mwende: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
