Mwangi Mwende Juma
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Gulu, Northern Region, Uganda
- Little Eastgate Shop
- 1986 to 2007
- English, Spanish
I've worked in baking from 1986 to 2007. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 710 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.

What gifts mean to Mwangi: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
