Mwanaisha Sarah Mwende

Self-taught ceramics artist

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Jacaranda Pottery
  • Since 2003
  • English, Swahili
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 2003 at Jacaranda Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. I carry a notebook everywhere. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
