Mutua Simiyu Lyimo

Taught economics at Eastgate Middle School

Eastgate Middle School was my second home. I taught economics there from 2000 to 2020, mostly mixed-ability classes. Over the years I had 480 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Mutua

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

you taught me economics in 2016 at Eastgate Middle School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Truly.
