Muthoni Naliaka Onyango
Masonry for 22 years in Kampala
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Gateway Works
- Since 2004
- English, Swahili
I've worked in masonry since 2004. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 920 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Muthoni: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
