Musyoka Onyango Kimaro
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇬 Mbarara, Western Region, Uganda
- Mbarara Works
- Since 1991
- English, Swahili
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Mbarara, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 21 years later for another job.
More about Musyoka
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Musyoka: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
