Musyoka Hamisi Kyagulanyi
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Little Zanzibar City Trades Guild
- 1980 to 2008
- English, Spanish
I've worked in pottery from 1980 to 2008. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 1,340 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I never rush a conversation.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Musyoka: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
