I've been a nurse for nine years, most of them in elder care at Thika Regional Medical Center in Thika. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
