Murilo Roberto Rocha
Chess and fitness coach, Petrópolis
- 🇧🇷 Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Petrópolis Swimming Club
- Since 2008
- Portuguese, English
For 18 years I've run the chess program at Petrópolis Swimming Club in Petrópolis. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Murilo
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Murilo: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Barranquilla.

You coached me in 2019. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Spanish Town.
